I know there is the developers guide and the jumpstart manual, but a more usable demo application would help myself and I bet some other new users..

>>>The developers guide is pretty comprehensive, but if you are brand new it can be fairly overhwelming. My advice is to simply create a new project, and then start building business objects before anything else. The reason for this is that you want to have the majority of your business logic encapsulated in your business objects before you start building a UI. Of course, you'll need a database to do this, but if you start mapping out the business objects you'll need along with your database design, you'll be better off later. Read the section on business objects carefully, and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

>>James,
>> Thanks.. We are in the midst of re-doing database (as we talked about before).. I will build a few business objects and see what happens.. Some of the forms in this system will be dropped, since there are more forms for printing reports than there are for entering data!!
>>
>>Have to think about a few issues though... Historical data will be stored in a table, but current year data in some cases will be built on the fly for processing.. Some data has to come from different system that we have limited access to (Oracle based system, database access we get is a file dump at this time, need to look at creating a view into this, to gather data..)

>If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. When I started with the Framework I was completely overwhelmed, despite the excellent documentation. It took me a while before I understood the importance of designing business objects before anything else. It wasn't until I actually tried to build a web interface into one of my applications before I realized the importance of business objects.

I am overwelmed, but the tool seems to offer a lot of what I am looking for!! Now if I could get the intergration of MM and Stonefield to work atleast, I would be very happy... Followed the manual for what MM says to do, an tried the stuff on a new sample application, and the application is bombing looking for a table...

Oh well, I will try and hit it again tommorow..

Thanks!
