Nick,
I definitely would be interested. Right now I am spending my free time to think on a solution of this type. The main concern for me is to propose an alternative to our main application, which is developed entirely in VFP (version 5). As you might guess, we are having some serious problems controlling concurrent user access, updating and maintaining the app and adding or changing new functionality.
By the way, once in this thread I made a comment about application development in countries like mine, in which organizations do not have enough money to spend on all the hardware and software needed to build up an "appropiate" computing environment. So we have to be imaginative and find the way to provide cost effective solutions yet reliable and flexible with reduced budget and resources. That's the point in which an article or even better a broad discussion on using VFP for a total development tool for client/server solutions becomes particularly interesting for me. Please keep us up to date on your findings in this matter.
TIA,
