Took to light what both of you were saying. I found that if I recreate the views programatically using the SHARE clause all the views will open under one connection. I had previously used the view designer to create and it appears that it does not recognize the share connection clause. This would be in keeping with the bug that MS knows about in the article: Q170652.

Thanks for bearing with me, and even after having to recreate 27 views...I'm happy as a clam...development can now go on! Thansk again for all your assistance.
