Hi,
There is a set of files you need to provide to your client PCs when distributing an application, particularly if they do not have VFP installed on them (which I suppose is your case). I would recommend to use the Setup Wizard. Create a folder and save all the files needed (your app .EXE file and all the other files needed, as free tables, report formats, .INI files ...) along with the distributables. For further information and help you can check up your VFP documentation. If you prefer I can explain the procedure in more detail specifying the files you need to distribute.
HTH,
>>I am trying to build an executable for distribution and have never done it before. I thought all of the code was included in the .exe file. But when I installed the application on another computer and tried to execute it, I get an error that it can't find a class. Does the executable contain all of the code?

Many times when you build and exe from the project manager it will find all the code neccessary based on your main prg or whatever you are using as your starting code. It does not always find everything that is needed. In those cases you need to manually add those files to the project.
