Simply point the Help File setting in VFP to point at the FOXHELP.CHM file in the MSDN directory rather than the .COL file; for example, on this machine, I set my Help File to:
f:\msdndist\msdn\foxhelp.chm
where
f:\msdndist\msdn
is where I have my MSDN files installed on my LAN rather than pointing to
msdn100.col
in the same folder. This displays only the VFP 6 Help file internally in VFP, but leaves the rest of my Visual Studio/MSDN settings pointed to the collection so I can access the entire MSDN Library.
You can simply copy the FOXHELP.CHM file into a local directory and point to it if you normally work your MSDN Library from CD or DVD.
