Hi Della,
I was able to see this in action in Toronto at a friend's house.
He didn't get the "hub". Instead he has a desktop machine connected to a cable modem for internet access and running winproxy.
On this desktop he installed a pcmcia adapter and stuck in one of the wireless cards. The other card is in his laptop and it works wonderfully.
Makes me wonder about whether the wireless hub is really necessary.

>Does anyone have any experience with wireless networking? We're contemplating adding wireless access to our home "network," which is simply the LinkSys DSL/Cable router. We want to be able to use the laptop anywhere in the house (particularly in the recliner in front of the big screen TV or in the screened-in porch <g>).

>Has anyone implemented this at home? Does it interfere with anything? For example, when we turn on the garbage disposal, we get interference on the TV--is there a similar problem with wireless, as in, "it works fine, except for..."? Is the LinkSys wireless product better/worse than competitors?
