Why do U have to use remote control software? Are U doing
technical support or is the client accessing data on your
host? You may want to investigate setting up a
client/server database. VFP allows you to do this. I wrote
a VFP app that uses MS RAS (Win95) to go at data stored on
an NT box. The VFP app is on the local (client) PC with as
many validation and support tables as possible stored there
also. In all cases you want to limit traffic over the
lines. Within VFP you can also setup the record fetch rate.
