However, like my English Professor said in college: "You have to express your self as if the person reading what you have written came from Mars"! That can take ALL the fun out of things of this nature.
...which makes for some really dull sentences in sequels of books. Even novel writers had such professors, and they still adhere to the reporter style, where the first two sentences of anything must be an answer to who-where-when-how, and then the rest of the text may hope to deal with why. So they feel obliged to repeat the obvious, thinking the Martians may be confused if they didn't. And I feel bored and enjoy my skimming (aka turbo-reading) abilities.
