This could be the same problem a lot of us run into where VFP doesn't release the FXP so you can't re-compile a PRG from the command line. There IS an error message (something about file access) but the only sure 'solution' is to exit VFP. I don't think anyone has found a solution.

>We're trying to build a utility which will rebuild a COM exe through an application. This is so an individual can select which new automation server program just came in, can select it and the application will rebuild the project, delete old version of the fxp, recompile the program, which generates the new fxp and then rebuld the COM exe. It works fine on the first pass but if they go to run the process again, VFP stops dead on trying to delete the fxp file with no error msg or anything, just stops. Any idea what is locking up the fxp file after the first build?
