>>The only reason I'm asking is because of the client that I'm working with wants to build a system that will be sold to his customers but he has his reservations about writing the app in VFP.

Jeff,
My father owns a manufacturing company in New Jersey. His MRP system is on an ancient HP 3000. I finaly talked him into going into client/server, and he converted his payroll and accounting system based on SQL Server 7.0. I sent him the link that you posted. Does this sytem scale to client/server? (He is now completely sold on SQL Server! A small miracle that took years of work on my part.) BTW, his company specializes in seals and gaskets for aggressive environment applications (oil wells, automotive, high-pressure seals). It is not a big company. Do you know know of other MRP systems?
