Simply make the checkbox readonly instead of enabled/disabled.

The reason why I am trying to keep the background of my checkbox white is because all of my textbox background are set to white. I set Enabled = .f. when I want my users to type something (I have Edit commandbox that user uses to edit and save) and Enabled = .t. when I don't want them to type in anything. The disabledbackcolor is set to 255,255,255,0 so my users can read clearly. However this doesn't work as you mentioned for checkboxes. Could you please elaborate more on how I can use WHEN to get my checkbox background white all the time.
