In VFP6 and later image can show jpg. Set its image property to filename of jpeg file. In VFP5 you need foxhwnd control to show jpg.
If you would do thumbnails in a grid then consider image load time and preferably use a smaller size version. In a project I stored original jpg and tif in separate dirs while showing very lightweight versions in thumbnail (less than 5K fewer color versions-ie:my photo here is jpg and 4K, original is a tif in true color an much larger). In web many sites have the same approach. They show lightweight versions and say click to view original. You can also create an HTML on the fly and show via a browser instead of VFP form if you want :)
