Hi. I am a Visual FoxPro user learning VB. I have the "Learner's Edition" of VB.
I am confused about Data Sources.
FoxPro has its own tables/databases. Am I correct to say that VB does, not and that it has to borrow data tables from Oracle or Access?

Can I use my existing FoxPro tables as a data source for a VB app? Or, can I convert them? Or, can I import them from ASCII?

I paid $100 for my VB learner's package. If I do need Access or Oracle tables, would I have to spend $400 for a copy of Access or $2,000+ for Oracle in order to store data in my VB apps?

Under what "keyword" would I learn more about this subject?

Thanks, Randy
