Check out the thread "Screen Shots of my Application" going on, there are some ideas there.

I suggest looking through the available ActiveX controls on your computer. Seeing treeview and listbox controls, and flat "coolbar" types of toolbars, you might get some ideas as to where they can be used.

Whatever you do, don't make the User suffer through gwady, unintuitive forms.
