Mike,

I'm not sure anyone ever got around to replying to the original issues raised in this thread:

(1) Is there a memory leak in VFP? If so, under what circumstances does it occur and how do we test for it, and

(2) If there is a memory leak that is not handled by VFP's built-in garbage collection, now do we handle it in code?

I have experienced phonomena that I believe were the result of a memory leak in my own work, and have read numerous statements in this forum and others that VFP has a leak. So far as I know MS has neither admitted nor denied that one or more leaks exist.

So, is there a leak or not?

Regards,
Jim Edgar
