I have a CD burner. So, I burn a CD with a great many directories, and copy it to an NT machine. Then, I want to make all the files copied Writable.
Changing a new directory's RO status has no affect on the files within it. I actually have to select all files within a directory, and then disable the RO status. This is a major pain, as I will be doing a lot of this. Is there an easier way?
Also, probably related, the CD-copied DIRs & files have no Permissions/Ownership properties, they are like Win9x FATs. Yet normally when I copy FAT files to NT I do not have this occur.
Ideas, or is this something dependent on the CD-burner?
