I don't think (actually, I'm almost certain), that GroupWise supports "Application" model, as Outlook (not Outlook Express) does. I can tell you what I did before this application was turned to another programmer and therefore I had not chance to work on this problem more.

1) I downloaded Nigel Coates class MAPI Mail Class September 23, 1999 17:04 File #9524

2) I read docs available for this class.

3) I tried to run it for sending mails with attachments.

Everything worked fine, but I had OutlookExpress as default mail client and it was setup properly on my machine. When I tried on another machine, I had some Ole Dispatch errors. I finally found, that in order to this class work properly with GroupWise, GroupWise has to be set up as a default mail client on this machine. Our Network Administrator sent me a program, which set GroupWise to be default e-mail client. It means, for example, that if you click on e-mail adress in WEB pages, it pops up GroupWise (originally it brought Outlook Express on my machine).

Now, depends on what mail clent is installed on user's machine, you can use different code. Outlook allows you to automate the process. As far as I can tell, Nigel class works with Outlook too (I haven't tested, though), so for simple taks of sending mails you can use this class and not worry, about which e-mail client is installed on user's machine.
