>>I agree that the move to OO is significant. However, it (perception of those moving) really depends on where they're coming from.

>I agree. Always somethign to consider, but a consitant tool would ease the process. JMO.

Don't forget, I wasn't saying that OO menus wouldn't be nice to have.

>>I doubt if adding more OO is really going to be significant in the eye of managers.

>Its a new skin, if this much effort has been put into a "dead" language, don't you think it might turn a couple heads?

No, I don't. Apps turn heads. The "dead" business has been going on for years. It's harder to change that perception than it is to create it. Apart from apps, I think that a more prominent place in the marketing of the tools would help a lot more. But we've been over this ground, and I don't care to re-visit it.

>>I don't know that new designers would help much. After all, each has a different purpose and, therefore, a different set of tools to use. I really doubt that a more consistent approach is possible. Then again, I've never thought about it that much.

>Well, in the "new" way, you would have a menu designer which is really just a menu that you can see being manipulated. In the form designer, you would also be able to build menus directly on the form the exact same way.

Be nice, but whether or not it's doable is another question entirely.
