Basically one of us needs to be able to check out a form or report and if the other person is working on it, then the system needs to notify them that it is already checked out. We are both maintining a copy of the development directories on our local workstations.

This would work fine for a single person; but since there are two of us, we need to have a slightly more sophistiticated ability to replicate the files.

I have exposed my Visual SourceSafe directory to the web (I require a login to access the drive) and myself and two other developers (one Detroit and the other in Canada) use that. It is SLOW AS ALL GET OUT over the internet, but that maybe theinternet connects. However it works, we have not had a problem in over a year.

Hope this helps.
