The "Starts on new page" feature you mention is for widow/orphan control on Group Headers, not Group Footers, which was the original problem stated in the thread. And since this value is a constant and you don't know how many detail records will come in any group, you can't control where the Group Footer is going to end up printing, unless you do something like I suggested.
