Hi!
Really, I see nothing to worry about. Many VFP applications have server-side processed to pack databases each night. Many servers set up to run defragmentation automatically at some period of time. Clustering is not such a great problem. Good organizing of database structure and application logic will help to speed up application working much more than solving clustering problems.

>My question is are there specific dangers to VFP in clustering that I need to be aware of? Do you need to change the way VFP updates files, reads classes ect. Does VFP really not care about clustering becuase the network OS does all the hard work?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
