You can use the latest version for both free tables and DBC's. It's just that you have two different versions installed.

>>>In the connection string for ADO objects specify correct driver. There are 2 drivers for VFP- VFP database and VFP free tables. First one requires a database name with fill path, secon requires a folder path to the folder where free tables are located.

>>Unless it has recently changed (with VFP7 beta), there is one ODBC driver and just the connection string changes. For free tables a sample connection string follows:
>>
>>DSN=TestAlter;UID=;SourceDB=d:\temp;SourceType=DBF;Exclusive=Yes;BackgroundFetch=Yes;Collate=Machine;Null=Yes;Deleted=Yes;
>>
>>Where the 'TestAlter' DSN needs to exist and be specified the free table directory option.
