Hello everyone:

We are using Novell Netware 4.x for a while and we have been experiencing some problems since the last server crash (a weekly here):

(1) The Client temporarily loses the connection to a server (for about 30-45 seconds at a timne).

(2) The following message will eventually pop up any PC that runs a VFP application, regardless of whether the application is active or not (closing the app is not an option because user spends their whoke day switching from Word and this app): NetWare Alert Message, Client32: File LETTER.CDX could not be auto-reconnected because the file could not be recreated.

I am not getting any cooperation from LAN Services. I will set up another PC running an Access LAN application, and not the VFP app, and see if it encounters the same problems.

Any suggestion on how to prove whether it is an app/netware/client configuration is welcome. By the way, I do not have sufficient permissions to change the Client32 settings.
