How can I retreive the paradox's version was used to create a .DB file?

I used the Microsoft Paradox ODBC to read a .DB file (version 4.00.5xxx) and I was unable to read some files (But some works fine) I think it's because it's not the same version. I tried tu configure ODBC with 3.x, 4.x and 5.x version, but it don't work. Why ???
