What _was_ cool was that the two machines for the kids cost the same or less than the one they'd been sharing that we bought the 18-year-old for his Bar Mitzvah in '95. Even got a printer thrown in with one of them that the kid took to college.

My first machine when I started do this for Shaw (1987) was a PC-AT with a 35 Mb hard drive, CGA monitor, 2 Mb of extended (or was it expanded) memory. I saw the invoice...$10K. 4 years ago my P200/MMX (16 Mb/2 gb hard drive) with 15" montior and printer was $2K. Now for less than that I can probably buy both the machines I need. Ain't technology wonderful?< s >
