That won't happen due to several reasons:

- The current state of MS legal problems.
- Windows XP will be marketed to the home user, who won't pay $500 for an OS. That's what an entire PC costs now.
- Corporations won't pay that to upgrade.

My guess is that you'll see pricing about where it is now for each market.
