I have set up a form that has the acitvex mscomm object in it, along with various labels, textboxes and checkboxes tied to most of the MSCOMM properties (i.e. port, cd, rts,cts, setup, etc) and I have a command button which will toggle the OpenPort property. Here's my problem/question...

When I run the form it seems to lock up (no focus, or any response when I click the command button), but it is not really locked up I can switch to the command box and manually set to OpenPort property and the form shows that it is opened after I do a Myform.Refresh()

I want to be able to select the port, settings and open the port from the same form. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
