Real solution for that, as it is said earlier, is Stonefield Toolkit.
Since you have problem purchasing it, you could use following scenario:
1. Make safe copy of live data.
2. Make tmp dir and place new database version in it (whole).
3. Develop function/utility to append all records from all tables into respective tables in new database. (You zap test data first!)
4. Switch directories (databases)
I have form based tool (which I can send you) that does that easily
which I am using for years now for database(s) manipulation.
Source Database all -> Target Database all
Only problem are Persistent Relations & RI if you are using them.
(Well, I am not...)
In that case Stonefield might be only solution4you.
Not to forget, if it is only one table in one database you could do
it mannualy as well.
