I recieve the UT messages thru listserv option. I use my shell account which uses 'pine' to read the messages.
Occassionaly , the modems seem to take over and exchange spurious characters which get into the buffer. It appears that an 'R' ( for reply ) and an (ctrl-X) for send seem to have formed part of the spurois sequence as a result of which a meaningless message was posted .

Could u provide an option for me to set so that the system will reject all messages sent by me thru listserv interface ?
It has happened only once so far, but if it happens more often -- the thread will get cluttered with junk.
