Craig: thanks for your reply. I found the problem, but I don't know the answer: The vcr buttons are not refreshing.
The form opens at EOF(), I do a seek to find a record and the vcr buttons still think that I am at at EOF(), thus disabling the 'fwd' button, which is the one that my user needs to browse the found items.

Q: how do you refresh the standard vcr buttons that come with vfp6?
