My problem is that I don't want the execution of the rest of the code after the run command until the exe has finished transferring the file from ascii to pdf. Is there a way to pause/evaluate after the run command in order to prevent the execution of the rest of the code until this process is finished ? I appreciate some pointers.

Download Ed Rauh's API_APPRUN class from the Downloads section. It will probably do what you want. I don't know if he requires VFP6 or not but the notes should tell you.

Remember to recompile it in VFP5 before running it.
