Actually it will work iin the Init of the form. SET DELETED does nothing to the record pointers, so if your DE opens the table and places the pointer on the deleted record and then in your Init you turn deleted on, the pointer is still on that record. The solution is in the Init you can;

SET DELETED ON
LOCATE && Moves to the first valid record
