Ko, Thanks for the reply. The problem is that I have my own system menu which replaces a menu generated by the menu generator. The menu is generated from a file which includes the text and procedures etc. I have tried using adding SYS(1500, '_MED_PASTE', '_MEDIT'), calling this from my own Edit, Paste menu option. This doesn't work. Ive had a look at sample menus (MPR stuff) generated by FoxPro. I wonder why the ctrl+C/V work in character fields but not in memos...! Denis
