I don't personally have a dell Laptop but my current and previous desktops were Dells and I couldn't be happier with the machines and the server.

One suggestion, if you are going to spend ALOT of time with this laptop (desktop replacement) you should consider spending a little more and getting the 15 inch screen. Your eyes will thank you for it.
