I move my DBC all the time, but there is a catch. The database and tables are always in my path.

I think that if you do not have the tables/database in your path then VFP stores path information in the DBC. I am not too sure about this, but I think I was bit by that awhile back.

To move a DBC for me is just a copy from one locate to another (or a cut). Try it on your side and see what you get.
