Hi All,

Does anyone know of any libraries/third-party tools that include character comparison algorithms that account for transpostions, deletion etc.

For example:

1234567 and 1234576

are not equal, but could be considered close (only one transposition away)

Or,

Smith and Smitn

Can be considered close due to the proximity of the h and n keys on the QWERTY keyboard. (and also that h and n look alike)

Note that I am not interested in encoding algorithms like SOUNDEX().

TIA
