I think I understrand what you are saying, in that in VFP many of the set commands
are limited to a particular data session. However, the problem is NOT in an applicaiton.

It occurs in the initial "start up" of VFP where I am "developing" or "Testing" various programs and functions.
This before any Database or tables have been opened.

Could this be considered a "Data Session" that requires it's own "set" of SET commands.
I thought that was what the Config.fpw file was for.
