No, but both deal with output and memory usage.

It's a Config.FPW setting just like TMPFILES=xxx. It disables the background buffer that VFP uses to remember any output from the various painting methods, ?/??, @...Say, etc... This is called "streaming output" and can be disabled with BITMAP=OFF in the config file. It's only available in VFP6/SP3 and higher and was originally created to support Terminal Server.
