Let me rephrase... I want VFP to read the output FROM a C++ console app. I don't want to redirect the VFP output TO a console. Also this is not an app that I run and will spit out some short bit of output. This is an app that will be run and left on for hours or days. I'll want to read it's console output every 5 seconds and parse it.
