I have a legacy app in the process of conversion but need to make the old program work with Windows 2000. The old version, in FPW2.6 uses the printer name (embedded in the FRX in the Tag & Tag2 fields) to send athis report to a specific printer on a novell 4.1 network. The printer name in 95/98 can be edited right aon the icon, but I am finding that Windows 2000 does not allow you to change the name and the name it picks has the path included (which is different from the rest). Any suggestions on how to either rename the Win 2000 printer or another solution short or renaming the printer on all of the win 95/98 machines to match the Win 2000 name.
