It appears that the SKIP doesn't work after all. The buggy behavior just isn't consistent. It looks like almost every other time I run the form it works or fails, although that isn't always consistent either. Once I remove the controlsource from one of the related columns, the problem goes away. So, I've implemented Cetin's suggestion of using a method to seek the record from one of the tables. Strange stuff.
