Points 1 and 2 are obviously being caused by "config.fpw" being run as a program and not just read as a config file.

Not wierd at all. It shows that the config.fpw WAS correctly read as a config file. Something else is causing it to run as a program, causing the errors in 1 and 2.

No, ON is the default, so our new config is causing the change.

The only "corruption" you have is some code somewhere that causes config.fpw to be run as a program.
