If I browse the view in the project and manually enter the value it works correctly. I've checked the value of the filter expression variable and it appears correct at the time (I believe) that the grid is getting populated from the view. I have traced the variable and the value does not change once set. Where should I be looking when a view does not seem to be filtering although the sent value seems to be correct? Thanks!

Doug,
That was it. I took this app over from someone else and assumed he had built the requery logic into the app base classes. As you sometimes said - a lifetime ago it seems - at Kaiser, 'When you assume, you make..." Glad to see you're still kicking around some code...
Thanks, Renoir
