>Yes, it sometimes is a pain. The main reason that some controls do not work well or easily with VFP is that they simply have not been tested with VFP by the manufacturer. They took care of satuisfying the VB market, that's all.

>There are wayt to make most of them work. You could make a VB wrapper around them exposing their properties and mmethods. Also take a look at the last few issues of Foxtalk. There is an excellent set of articles by Andrew Ross McNeill about many ActiveX Controls, their usability with VFP and code samples.
