I don't think you can change it.

But, try typing USE ? in the Command window. It will bring up the dialog to choose a table to open.

Also, in VFP7, when you type USE the Intellisense takes over and shows you the last bunch of tables you opened so you can choose, or you can just keep typing for a different one.
