According to the VFP documentation, the command

DEFINE PAD Static OF _MsysMenu PROMPT "No Visual Connection" ;
Style 'B' Font "Arial", 12 COLOR "R*"

should create a menu item called "No Visual Connection", with a 12pt. Bold Arial font in the color red.

All I get is a menu item called "No Visual Connection" ( with out errors )

how can I get the desired results ... and while I'm here, could you make it so the item it places right justified ( while the remained to the menu is left ) ... the perpus for this item is as a user message, and not a selectable menu, so would there be a way to not have the item act like a button ( when you click on it it will depress )

thanks
