Applications Internet
I'm sorry to say, but I don't have any experience with connecting databases to the internet, but I would assume that's it much the same as having one on a network. I would think that as long as you have an ODBC driver that allows you to connect, the rest of it will be like working on any network. And as long as you have the ODBC driver, shouldn't you be able to establish the remote view programatically within a 'create remote view' command? Sorry I'm not much help, but this is virgin territory for me.

>> If you are using ODBC drivers, perhaps your code for making the ODBC connecition is incorrect. Look in your Developer's Guide under ODBC connectors for the proper way to declare connections. It seems that the error message you received is telling you that an ODBC error occurred. Also, if you're making an ODBC conneciton, I'm fairly certain that you have to use a 'create sql view' command to incorporate your select statement. Good luck on finding the solution.
