My recollection is that there were always multiple open method windows, and the problem seems to occur more frequently when multiple forms or classes are open, but I'm not certain - this is just a vague impression. When it happens (quite infrequently) I switch into hyper-cautious mode: start a fresh VFP session ASAP, carefully open only one object at a time, save after each change, close and reopen to confirm that the changes stuck. I don't recall ever seeing this behavior persist in a fresh VFP session.

Hi Mike

I think you might be on to something there. If you have 1 form procedure open and you want to copy some code from another procedure you open an other window and do a FIND. You're then prompted that you have that 1st procedure open. If you click ok to allow the search. The search will ignore that 1st procedure. I wonder if VFP now completely ignores that procedure when you get back to working on it? I think that might cause the problem. In some instances. I've gone to keeping only the 1 proc open at a time. Since then, I've not had the problem.

Mike
