If the WSH (Windows Script Host) is available, there is a method of retrieving the various special folders. Ed Rauh and I wrote a series on the WSH that appeared in the VFUG newsletters (www.vfug.org) that are available on-line, beginning with last September's issue.

If the WSH isn't an option, I've got a DLL that provides this functionality. It's available in the download section Shortcut Link Files. Click the link to download it.
