>We have been BLOWN AWAY by the full text search speed using PhDbase and VFP6.0 but have heard of some problems with buffered data updates and phd index corruption. Does anyone have a good routine to prevent this problem. One solution may be to "manually" update the index while going thu getnextmodified and tableupdate. I just don't know whether it is worth the time trying to program around this problem.

The only way I have found to have no corruption was to isolate any PHDBase commands in another application. We combined that with some dedicated search tables which means we do not implement PHDBase over the master tables. We then have a robot which updates all the search tables when necessary which serve the searches. In our case, that scenario is applicable. I don't know if that is applicable for you.
